apparently the brains behind the new comedy, YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE ZOHAN thought so too :)

adam sandler is Zohan the brutal Israeli agent who has jackie chan's flexibility and God liked speed (the guy captured a bullet with his nose!) but has dreams of being a hairdresser, snickering vulgarity (very Borat like) with his hair fetish and penchant for banging senior citizens.

adam sandler has been digging serious roles in movies recently and it's high time he came out with another brainless movie packed with frivolous humour, crude jokes and a corny ending!

sandler's a tad bit different in this one. for starters, his normal curly hair (wic i cant stand btw) is swapped with a George Michael's Wham-days-hairstyle and his usual whiny voice is substituted with a very very strong middle eastern accent! and is that a prosthetic crotch we'r spotting... i swear adam sandler was never 'dat big'. watched almost all his films (and NO i dont normally focus on dat area!) and i nvr recall it ever being dat big... and that arnie schwarzenegger bod... wer did dat came frm!

the movie served me a good 2 hrs of laughter bt the crude jokes made watching uncomfortable with my 16 and 13 yr old cousins. and it doesnt help that sandler kept thrusting his male pelvis every 5 seconds....

so corrupting the young minds aside, will i recommend d movie?!?!?!
die hard fans (lk moi!) will be entertained... ppl outside that fanbase... well i'm nt too sure.

Ledger's hair-rising performance as the Joker is without a doubt one of cinematic's most demonic villains, so much so that the past two Jokers before him just looked lk... welll... clowns!

and behind that psychotic, mass murdering clown with painted white face, black eyeshadow and scarred mouth was a brilliant actor whose soul and talent will be greatly miss. it's almost depressing that the dark knight will be his last film but Heath's performance as the Joker was an ideal pinnacle before closing the curtains to both career and life!

am an indie movie lover to the max and sofia coppola's 2003 effort is top on my list. i love everything bout the film... frm the simple yet deep and meaningful storyline, to how the actors brought life to the characters and who can forget the exquisite scenery. Filmed in tokyo for jus 27 days, the film captured japan in an array of different backgrounds frm the busy over-crowded city to a red solitary temple to a ray of sunlight through the remaining yellow autumn leaves on the trees planted across the streets.

i guess am pretty excited for her. japanese are known for their 'unique' work ethics. unlike most people who work to live, japanese live to work bt i might be making a hasty generalization. i wonder the firm my sis works for promotes early morning exercise lk some company in japan do. lol, wudnt it b funny!
since the company is an international company, my sis doesnt need to know a single word of japanese. that might nt be the case street-wise. hehehe, guess my sis will be lost in translation after all.

from the director's creative idea to the great visuals, the ambitious imagery portrayed through psychedelic effects and the modernised Beatles covers... am currently intrigued by this movie/ musical...

my obsession is obvious... have been spreading news bout the movie to anyone who would listen: dat being sam, aaron n irene :)

Across the Universe is obviously a Beatles Musical... creating a war/love story through combining a mixture of 33 incongruous Beatles songs together. the movie is truly an original.

what's compelling about this movie is that i can finally remember the great actress evan rachel wood was in Thirteen! (her sexually provocative Heart Shaped Glasses video is to be blamed for the temporary memory loss) and a complete alteration of my own personal view that The Beatles songs were only mediocre despite their undeniable success.

Yes! i used to think that Beatles songs were only mediocre. it's a personal opinion so even if you start throwing Beatles Trivia at me like the song Yesterday is in the Guinness Book Of Records for being the most covered song in history... it's still my own personal opinion! Well that perception has obviously changed thx to Across the Universe, the movie not the Beatles song.


I have to say their tunes are pretty catchy and apart frm Yellow Submarine (thank gudness it's not one of the 33 songs in the movie) McCartney/Lennon do write good lyrics. One that captivates me the most is the hidden meaning behind Happiness Is A Warm Gun. a gun stays warm after a trigger is pulled and happiness that follows... hmmm kinda gives you a dark feeling huh, it's like a tour into a psycho's mind... giving 4 stars out of five for this one. GO catch the movie :)
