QUICKIE:
seeing the name on the 1st class honours list... and that name belonged to me... i thought i'm truly blessed

subterranean homesick alien

the coming september marks our third year making kasuma home.

and to think that three years back, concerned relatives and friends weren't keen to the idea of us moving from a semi-detached house that had the most strategic location to a 1,425 sq. ft. condominium that was a little too far from civilization.

bt both my parents wanting to be accustomed to an enrich and healthy living environment, were pro to the idea of making the prestigious 36 hole Sarawak Golf & Country Club our distinguished neighbour instead of the bustling streets of the city.

it took only a second for me to fall in love with the place and now i wake up every morning to the abundance of lush greenery and the majestic view of the never-ending sky.

what i enjoy most about kasuma is that i'm living 6 floors above ground, allowing me to enjoy a panoramic view of the area that surrounds me.
most evenings, i'll sit by the window pane to find solitude by looking at the breathtaking sunset...

or to catch a glimpse of the rainfall from afar... watching the rain, hearing the wind and then witnessing the dark clouds crawling and slowly taking over the clear blue skies above me.

and when the rain is done, one can sense that there is fresh growth just by witnessing the newly risen sun... so soothingly calm and shinning ever so brightly.

kasuma is unique in its own thanx to its dramatic 23 acre lake, home to thousand of different types of fishes and mirror to Mount Santubong and anything around its vicinity.

and then there's the swimming pool... the main contributor to my broad shoulders and the visible tan line at my back...

and in the eyes of mr. shenhan yeo, the pool also makes a good site for pre-wedding shoots.

and thank to mr. wedding photo enthusiast, i found myself awake early saturday morning.

edwin came along to help out with the shoot... mainly in giving feed backs, holding the flash and the reflector when the sun was getting too glaring.

and in case they sound awfully familiar, they are the duo who were the masterminds behind my group photoshoot back in june.

because kasuma is a private residential area where privacy is absolute and security is tightly controlled, only residents and their invited guests are allowed into the resort's compound.

so my job was pretty easy, i just had to be there because i'm a resident and in case the patrolling security is suspicious of shen and gang, at least i, the kasuma resident, could clarify any doubts.
the simplicity of the nature of my job also made it dull and to make matters worst, i only had a good 4 hours of sleep the night before. so i was yawning and bitching in between takes but i was certainly glad my job's level of difficulty is nada as opposed to edwin's...

who at times had to stand in awkward positions, holding the flash or the reflector just so that the picture will turn out like this ...

good job guys.

oh my... all this kasuma talk is gonna make my leaving harder. i do hope Camden Court, the in campus accommodation offered to me by Northumbria University is homely... or i'll be one subterranean homesick alien...
well mayb not subterranean homesick alien (i just like the radiohead song that's why), i've got my UK Student Visa to prove that... just a homesick alien... :(
