pausing the diet: a buffet worth pressing that button for?
one of us turned a year older yesterday. to celebrate, a table for four at Cafe Majestic's was booked. with only christmas less than a month away (meaning less than a month to get me back into my slim figure), we *cough* i made a really bold decision to go for the EURO BUFFET.
appetizers : variety of salad all in a plate... tuna + long beans, apples + mayo, olives + asparagus + tomatoes, prawn + pasta + mussels, cheese + bell pepper, bread crumbs, broccoli + almond and a bit of thousand island here and there
next, i had creamy chicken soup (well you all know how it looks like so a picture isnt necessary) and i indulged myself with pastries, the garlic bread was heaven. bread lover was gleaming with happiness. oh did i mention that the garlic bread was to die for.
i had a little too much red meat and CARBS last night if you're asking me: medium done lamb with black pepper sauce, lamb osso bucco, beef patty slash balls, steamy potatoes, baked pasta with bacon strips and salmon.
beef lasagna, sausages with cherry tomatoes and i scooped me-self some eggplants with bell pepper to include veges into the night's unbalanced diet.
lastly desserts: orange cheesecake, chocolate cheesecake, chocolate fudge, blueberry tart and the chocolate mousse was 'ahhhhhhh'... oh yeah and a pinch of the birthday boy's cheesecake complimentary from the hotel.
with a ballooned tummy and a guilty conscience, i left the buffet with one goal in mind...
swimming-60 lapse-next week (10 a day, mon-sat) rain or shine! haaaa and already the guilt is gone.

when i get back we're having makan everyday. i don't care about diet or not i need a dining companion LOL.
