QUICKIE:
seeing the name on the 1st class honours list... and that name belonged to me... i thought i'm truly blessed

crush,crushed!

isnt it sickening to know that even at this hour, some of you still cant wipe that silly smile of your face thanks to last night's excessive touching session.

Valentine's day, i believe is a day created to give free passes to lovebirds just so that they can proudly display their love and affection publicly. You see the colours red and pink painting the town, you hear cheesy love songs on the radios, you imagine cupid running out of arrows bt all have forgotten that valentine's day is also a day that you share with close friends and family.

being a strong believer of the latter and also finally figuring out that chances of me bumping into prince charming is close to zero, i hit the town with five reliable frens. since i'll prolly wont b here to celebrate valentine's day in malaysia next year, i thought there's no better opportunity to spend some quality time with the gang. shell was in a black tank while aaron was dressed in a black button up shirt with an outstanding pink tie and the youngest two among us definitely dressed up for the occassion. place chosen for the celebration was secret garden cafe.

what we didnt noe is that valentine's day is also a day where restaurants and gift shops take full advantage and make it a marketing strategy to slaughter the attached and discriminate the singles. no ala carte for the day bt rather a fixed COUPLE'S MENU complete with red wine and roses. places were decorated only for tables of two. crossed the road to Memories only to be let down once again!
it didnt help that the roads were jammed thx to last minute boyfriends who stopped at the side of the road, buying roses.
so guess where a dejected we and a tie-less aaron ended up at...

sweet old mcDs...
where you gt a smile frm ronald mcdonald whether you're attached or not. we didnt need red wine to make a toast... burgers were the perfect substitute. the day mayb a disappointment, bt the company i had was beyond wonderful.

the placement of the name card is really an imaginative way of mocking the cafe that refused to serve you!
